“It takes several years of school to become a veterinarian – I just finished my 21st year of enrollment in a formal educational program.   I am so thankful for the foundation God provided me in placing me at Sheets Memorial Christian School for the first leg of my educational journey.  It was during my early years at SMCS that God gave me a career calling in veterinary medicine, and also there that He showed me how I could use my passion and skills to be about His mission of loving the people He has made.  SMCS provided both an atmosphere of nurturing, with teachers and staff whose Biblical instruction helped to mold my character, and challenge to pursue big dreams, as I was taught to anchor my life to the promise that “With God, all things are possible.” (Matthew 19:26)

SMCS extracurricular sports and music programs further established my work ethic and enabled the development of leadership skills that translated to roles of influence and opportunities for scholarship during my undergraduate and graduate training.  In my life, SMCS was part of God’s plan to mold and form me into a vessel fit for His use (Isaiah 64:8), and I praise Him for His past, present, and future works at this special school.”
